Please find a case wherein the U.S. Supreme Court held that preserving a building for historic purposes is not a taking in violation of the 5th and 14th Amendments to the U.S. Constitution even if the owner is losing a significant sum of money on the building. The Court stated that the mere designation of a building as a historic landmark does not constitute taking of that property.
